This is a blog to keep you updated on what J.C I.T is doing. The projects we are working on and also games and movies we are watching and playing. We will also do personal reviews on the games and movies.
Unstoppable is a drama about a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. Pits an engineer and his conductor in a race against time. They're chasing the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that will decimate a town.
Unstoppable is a fantastic movie. I loved every miniute of it. It is all based on a true story and the above summary done by IMDB is very acurate. Both Denzel Washington and Chris Pine are fantastic actors and are very good in these roles. There is not much else to say about this movie as it is summerised above.
Strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth.
Skyline is a movie that is primarily visual effects. It was done by the Brothers Strause. The storyline it self had points where it was a little boring but all in all it was a typical movie of its type (predictable and about human several). All though i agree with the story in some parts (if aliens did come they would kill us all) the ending did surprise me. The way the Brothers Strause twisted the aliens into needing us in order to live and actually walk around was good but there was one part of the movie where the alien had it's brain (from a human) pulled out but was still managing to walk around.
All in all i give the movie 9 out of 10 for visuall effects but a 2 out of 10 for everything else.
Season three follows Clark's constant fight against the destiny that his biological father, Jor-El, has in-store for him, and his guilt over the price Jonathan paid to bring him back to Smallville. Lex deals with the psychological breakdown he had when stranded on a deserted island, while the conflict between him and his father comes to a final blow. Clark's secret begins to weigh heavily on Pete, and the relationship between Clark and Lana hits a dead end.
I have to say Michael Rosenbaum (who plays Lex) is a fantastic actor.
Season two picks up directly where season one left off, with Clark (Welling) dealing with the aftermath of the tornadoes that hit Smallville. This season, Clark finally learns who he is and where he comes from, but must also acknowledge a potential destiny set into motion by his biological father that could change his life and the lives of those around him forever. Clark's relationship with Lana Lang (Kreuk) becomes increasingly closer, straining his friendship with Chloe Sullivan (Mack). Clark's best friend, Pete Ross (Jones III), learns Clark's secret this season.
All in all this season was ok and was very story driven. I will give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Probably needs a little more action.
I have just finished downloading and watching Smallville season one and i have my review/impressions on the show.
The 1st season kicks off with a meteor shower (just like the comics) with the Kents finding Clark. Through out the season we find Clark coming to grips with his new powers and trying to fit in with the rest of the town called Smallville. At the start Clark becomes freinds with Lex but Lex is always suspicious of Clark. Through out this season we are shown a freak of the week where a new person with powers comes to the scene where one of the group is attacked and Clark saves the day. Also a major part of the season is Clark trying to keep his secret from the world. The season ends with Lana under attack from a tornado and Clark going to save her.
All in all i think this is a great show. It is a good watch for both guys and girls. So far this season is probably a 4 out of 5 stars
Lately i have been playing the force unleashed 2 and i have got a few coments and a review for you all. First off it is a very short game, you only have like 3 levels to do, but they have left it open. What do i mean by left it open? Well with DLC on the rise and people actually wanting and waiting for DLC the people that created this game left both ends of the story line open. Hopefully with this they can have an option DLC, this means that there wil be 1 DLC with a darkside story and a light side story (depending on what side you picked).
All in all the new aiming system is fantastic and has made things much easyer. Also the introduction of the new force rage has made the highest dificulty a little easyer to finish.
Hey all. I watched another movie this weekend and that movie was paranormal activity 2. I don’t have a lot to say about his movie but the 1st one was much much scarier but this movie did show storyline. It explained how the demon got there in the 1st place.
*spoiler*
it is due to their grandma or great grandma making a deal with the devil and the demon is there to take the 1st born male.
*spoiler*
The one thing that i did not like in the movie which they have done in other movies is that they will film at night but with night vision on. Now i don't know about you guys but i find this really annoying. Whats the point of cutting out half the picture just for an effect...you can't even see the picture properly and it makes it hard to make out what is going on.
All in all it is a good movie and a nice sequel. It tells us why the demon is there and how the girl from the 1st movie got attacked by the demon in the 1st place.
Hey all 1st post of this new blog and why not start with a movie review. On the 28th of October i went an watched The Social Network. Now for all those who haven't heard of this movie it is pretty much the facebook movie. All in all it is a good movie, it shows the great talent in the actors that are in the movie. Jesse Eisenberg who plays Mark Zuckerberg, shows his acting will probably be typed cast in this role as seeing his passed roles in Zombieland and Adventureland, but his role in this movie is a little different. In this movie he has to play an intellectual which he played it fantastically and i hope that he gets more movie offers. The stand out for this movie was Andrew Garfield, he played Eduardo Saverin and personally i loved his acting and am so glad he got Spider-Man in the new Spider-Man Movie. His acting was really good, he showed us that not only can he play the cocky comedian (pretty much spider-man) but he also can show passion and emotion.
The Social Network is a good display of how facebook started. It started from Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) coming up with an idea for a website which allows students from Harvard to communicate with each other with some start up money from his friend Eduardo (Andrew Garfield) they get the site up which is named the facebook. The website slowly builds up and takes steam with not giving the rest of the story away it then becomes Facebook. All in all if you have read up on how facebook started you will know how it all went down.
